Dindinnie access - Warning to all members! If the gate at the farm at Dindinnie is closed with sign saying "Cattle being moved Do Not Enter" This means "DO NOT ENTER" remember please this is a working farm. An incident on Friday nearly resulted in an injury to stocksman. If this happens again there is a possibility of the gate being padlocked permanently with access then only by walking up to wee dam. Exchange permits. - Any member wishing to use exchange permit with NSAA or Castle Douglas AA should phone me with at least 24 hours notice. Basic rules are cannot be used more than once a week and a maximum of six times during the season. You must have your SDAA permit with you. Ron ...more

LITTER - Less than one week in and reports of litter at Soulseat and the White Loch. CCTV cameras are in operation at various locations. Cattle, dogs or wildlife picking up discarded tackle or litter could result in us loosing our right to fish!! ...more

Latest news - Warning!! The field leading down to where the White Loch boat is moored is not passable even for 4wd vehicles. I am in touch with Stair Estates to try and arrange an alternative location and will keep you advised. A number of members have been asking about day and buddy tickets. Discarded tackle!! - The committee have received notification from the Stair Estates factor reporting another find of discarded fishing tackle at Lochinch. This is the latest of a number of finds and has resulted in the death of a wild bird. We have asked if we could get the items to see if they are recognised by anybody.
