About Us

Founded in 1947, Stranraer & District Angling Association offers visiting anglers a diverse choice, from remote wild brown trout fishing, exceptional pike fishing to well stocked user friendly lochs. There are venues suited to the younger and disadvantaged anglers as well as those wishing to explore the fishing whilst visiting the area. There are also 2 dedicated platforms on Soulseat, to give the less able the ability to fish with comfort.

The Association welcomes visitors who will find members always happy and willing to offer advice, however don’t necessarily expect them to share all their secrets!!!
